Brent Norris is a designer and educator living off-the-grid in a remote area of Hawaii Island in a self-built treehouse where he re-imagines sustainable living practices in a native Ohia forest. Brent embraces local cultures, learns from past traditions and applies ancient and modern technologies in every day life.

Thirty years of surfing has married Brent to his environment and the needs shaping our economies. Brent has earned the Webmaster of the Year award and as Co-Founder, ED of Green Collar Technologies earned the Small Business Administration’s “Home Based Business Champion of the Year” for the State of Hawaii.

Brent continues to raise awareness and educate students on the virtues of digital, knowledge-based economies in Hawaii.
